Things to know about silicone!
Silicone items cannot be painted, unless you have a silicone paint.
Silicone cannot be glued to unless you have a silicone specific glue (like SIL-poxy, or uncured silicone), so you have to leave the fabric backing on to glue and/or sew it down. Gluing it down is great for a fast application, sewing it down takes longer. Gluing THEN sewing it down will last the longest, as the threads will not tear through the material as fast, and it can't be ripped off like it would if simply glued down. For noses, gluing down is the best option, but for high wear items, like pawpads, we recommend sewing and gluing!
Silicone likes to collect things! Dust, fuzz, fur, it all will stick to silicone (but it will come off!). In order to keep this from happening, just dust it with a light layer of baby powder or cornstarch before you install and you should be good to go! You may need to reapply over time, as the dusting wears or falls off.
In order to clean silicone from the debris it has picked up you can either use a piece of tape or another sticky surface to grab it all. Then (re)apply your baby powder/cornstarch to keep it from happening in the future.
